Thanks Tom, I'm glad you enjoyed exploring the Traveling Salesman Problem. I have found techniques there can outperform the traditional "Gradient Decent" method used in training Neural Networks.

I've never quite had the need to sit down and understand the Traveling Salesman Problem. It's just been one of those things I knew about, I knew there were many ways to tackle it, and that was that. This was a perfect introduction. Elegantly explained with an enjoyable personal touch. It was informative to see the comparisons of different techniques, and great to see some innovation in the addition of your own optimization.
